Fishbowl: Camera & Visual Effects


One of the biggest things I have updated in the game is the camera and visual effects. In the original version I was really trying to capture that surreal, underwater feeling but it didn't quite get there. With this update, I have the chance to really create that experience.

Using the newest version of Unity meant I could take advantage of some of the new post-processing effects. I also played with the lighting to get sun-shafts working inside the fishbowl - this worked better than expected and adds a lot to the scene! Lastly, I edited the standard Fish-eye script to make the intensity animate over time, with the X and the Y strengths slightly offset.

I am quite happy with where it is at the moment. It's currently walking that fine line between "underwater" and "nauseating" but I think I can get away with it ;)
